Visit the birth place of the very famous Leonardo Da Vinci a short and scenic drive from Vicopisano. Explore the town where he spent his childhood and be guided through the Museum in which some of his earliest inventions are displayed.

SAN MINIATO (11)_edited.jpg

SAN MINIATO

San Miniato and the Tower of Federico II: a few kilometres from Vicopisano (about 30 minutes), we find the hamlet of San Miniato, perfectly placed near Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Volterra. This is the reason why till the peak of medieval times it was chosen by the Emperor of the “Holy Roman Empire” as the seat to watch over the tumultuos spirits of the Tuscans. Another memorable experience is  truffle hunting and tasting, which can be organized at any time of year. The helpful dogs will guide us through the stunning Tuscan countryside searching for the prestigious truffle.

PISA_edited.jpg

PISA

A morning or afternoon tour of one of the seven wonders of the world. Leave Vicopisano and in 20 minutes see the magnificent Square of Miracles (it is the Cathedral Square of Pisa but was given the nickname by a famous poet who was shocked by it's beauty).  Walk with us through 3000 years of history in the streets of Pisa. The city was the most powerful trading city of the Mediterranean.

FIRENZE_edited_edited.jpg

FIRENZE

The capital of Tuscany full of artworks, museums, churches and markets, all packed into a rather small city. We will take the train from our nearest railway station (Pontedera) and in about 45 to 70 minutes, depending on which train we get, we will arrive at Santa Maria Novella. From here we will take some of the little side streets, to discover the real Firenze.

SAN GIMIGNANO_edited_edited.jpg

SAN GIMIGNIANO

The Medieval Manhattan of Tuscany – it was called by an American Tourist. All of the tall Towers that dominate the top of the hill on which this town is perched stand out in the distance like skyscrapers.
